Restoration Hardware served as the inspiration for this incredibly custom wedding.
An exercise in restrained luxury, focused on clean lines and a neutral color palette. The ceremony was set in a pristine white room. The Jason White Choir (which supports the Sunday Service) proceeded the bridal party down the aisle. While bridesmaids and groomsmen took their seats around the elevated white stage, the bride and room took their vows beneath an art installation of hanging green pillars. When Reverend Roxy pronounced them husband and wife, the choir erupted in song!
As guests enjoyed their cocktail hour, we took the drapes down from around the room and unveiled a highly styled reception that was heavily influenced by interior design. The white faded to black, forest green, and marble print surrounds. We traded towering centerpieces for bowls made of natural elements such as wood and stone, and we filled with them with moss and orchids, and placed them on long banquet tables reminiscent of those found on the couple’s favorite RH showroom floor. Ivory charger plates were placed at each setting along with smoked glasses for water and wine. We brought in white chevron chairs, pillar candles, and a concrete finished dance floor.
A stage sat at the top of the room for performances by DJ Shahab and their one of their favorite singers, Jon B. The perimeter of our ballroom was set like an elevated food hall, with stations and activations scattered around the space. We had everything from carving stations to pasta stations, ice cream stations and a towering wedding cake.
Without a doubt, this was one of the most exciting fashion stories I have ever had the chance to tell. The bride, Keyana, told me that she wanted an all-white wedding party, and she dreamt of having her entire bridal party dressed in Berta. With less than a year to order and produce dresses (especially during a pandemic) we reached out to Lovella Bridal. In just a two short visits we were able to select all of the dresses. The team even worked with us to customize some of the pieces, adding pick-ups and slits to the already beautifully designed gowns.
This level of production takes on a life of its own. It was truly a labor of love. Bringing these designs to life required a deep commitment to and from my creative partners, and to the process the supports the work. I will forever be humbled and proud of this wedding, as I once again redefined luxury, production, and what it means to gather and celebrate in Las Vegas.
