Last month I spent five days in Anguilla, Guatemala, working with influencers from TikTok and Instagram as an educator for The Knot and Wedding Pro.

Education is the great equalizer. As the premier resource for couples on the internet, The Knot has committed to educating and inspiring its users for over twenty years. When I started my business over a decade ago, the first thing I did was secure a listing on The Knot. I knew that The Knot would give me incredible exposure and immediate visibility as a new business. What I could not have imagined was the commitment that The Knot made to me as a new business owner to provide consistent learning opportunities and inspiring experiences for me as a business owner.

Over the years some of my most valued and beloved relationships have come from my association with The Knot. Everyone that works on the team, from Susie Deharce to Maddie Bendord Shaw, has been nothing but wonderful and supportive. Some of my dearest friends and most valued partners, including Wedding Fashion Expert Nayri, DJ Brian Buonassissi, Jacob and Courtney Towe, Clara Hough of House of Hough, and oh so many more are fellow Knot Educators. Together we have traveled the globe, partnered to produce events for clients and colleagues alike, and supported each other through quiet challenges and worldwide pandemics.

I cannot tell you how beautiful the country of Guatemala is or how lovely the people are. Having the opportunity to visit was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am filled with gratitude to the wonderful wedding and event professionals who worked tirelessly to produce such a magnificent event.
