THE TUSCAN-INSPIRED ESTATE WEDDING OF ALYNNE + MICK

Alynne and Mick share a stunning love-story that sweeps across the years. Originally introduced to Mick by her father, the two didn’t see one another for years while Alynne was building her law career and working with various charities throughout the country. During one fateful trip to Las Vegas, Alynne visited her father’s newly completed home. There, she ran into Mick. They shared a glass of wine and never left one another’s side again. Within weeks they were engaged, with plans to wed exactly one year later. When the pandemic thwarted their original plans, we simply assisted them in hosting an elopement in her family home in Montana. The wedding itself was postponed one year, and the married on their two year anniversary.

It was in that house, gifted to the couple by Alynne’s father, that the two would plan their wedding celebration. The home itself was inspired by the Tuscan countryside. With towering walls of stone, wooden beams, and sprawling grounds filled with trees and flora, my goal was to embellish the space with color and texture without changing the tone and feeling of the house.

When working in someone’s home, it is important to honor the space. My couple will wake up in these rooms every day. They will walk down the stairs, through the rooms, and around the grounds. Years from now they will look out over their pool deck and say, “Remember when…” I wanted the grounds to be lush and full, wildly romantic with bursts of color. The tables and chairs needed to be rich and solid, with sumptuous texture and a rich feel.

Once we designed the overall look and feel of the space, the couple’s next priority was food. While not motivated by dancing, they love dining out and enjoying a great bottle of wine. The food was to be the main source of entertainment, and I wanted to create something interactive that the guests would not soon forget. The team at Cut and Taste, alongside Events with a Twist, worked for months developing a tasting menu and wine pairing which included rustic salads, pan-seared fish, and grilled beef. Each course was paired with a matching wine, and we ended the evening with a scotch bar and dessert display.

Watching these two come together so beautifully was an honor. These photos are timeless and elegant, an eternal representation of their lives together. Their past, their present, and their future ceremed in the space where they came together and where they now live.

Please take a moment to watch our behind the scenes videos and join me in wishing the newlyweds a long and happy life together.

Always…a
