Welcome to the preview of 2024 Wedding Trends!

This November I will once again be speaking at the Wedding MBA as their resident trend expert! While my personal style veres much more towards the classics, it is vital that we as wedding professionals understand what is trending in the industry.

By the time a trend goes viral on Instagram (or TikTok or Pinterest) it is already entering the mainstream. Couples can expect to see these trens everywhere for the next 6 - 12 months. That is why it is important to watch for emerging trends. The earlier you encorporate trending elements into your work and wedding, the more relevant and interesting your wedding will be.

In this video, I will walk you through the upcoming wedding trends for 2024 while sharing photos, sample, and my throughts on the following:

2024 WEDDING TRENDS

• The Sofia Richie Effect: Old money, stealth wealth

• Seasonal Inspired Celebrations: Using seasonal elements as a design theme

• On-site Content Creators: Paid professionals creating reels and tiktoks for the couple onsite

• Pastel Colored Wedding Dresses: Pale pinks, blues, and floral patterns on wedding gowns

• Dynamic Lighting Design: Think bold colors that change to the beat of music

• Peachy Orange Color Palettes: The new champange

• Pop CultureThrow Backs: Barbie and Elvis references will be everywhere

• Fur Babies and Guests and Decor: Not only be in attendance, but incorporated in the design

• Intentionally Blurred Photography: For movement and emotion

• Twinkle Lights: Hanging, draping, and falling from the sky

In my work, I tend to avoid anything that is too trendy. Weddings should never look dated. I love the enduring elegance of the classics. My wedding designs truly lean into the idea of tradition and heritage, layered in with personal touches that add an edge. I am forever searching for what is next, not what is now, and adding elements that give my weddings an edge.

Remember, a great wedding planner and event design never follows trends; they set them.
