Let’s get married…Covid be damned!

Arianna and Richard are the couple every wedding planner wants. Sexy, stylish, crazy in love - and oh my God is the groom hysterical! We have been working together for almost a year, and their wedding was designed to be both intimate and over the top. When Coronavirus restrictions began to come into play, we didn’t worry. With less than 50 invited guests, we believed that we were okay. Sadly, we were not, and we learned that the wedding would need to be postponed due to government regulations my clients were heartbroken. They gave themselves a few minutes to be sad, but quickly mobilized and started to develop a plan.

The wedding was planned to allow their families and friends the opportunity to bear witness to their relationship. The marriage, however, would always be just for them. And so with that as our guiding light, and the anniversary of their engagement just days away, we quickly devised a plan to get these two beautiful people married.

Their boutique already featured a runway and smart TVs with wireless hookups that allowed us to “seat” virtual guests via a Zoom connection. My bride, gorgeous as possible, pulled a white dress from her collection. Javier Valentino took a quick trip to LA and came back with the lushest, most fragrant peonies for her bouquet. We booked the best table in the house at the restaurant where they had their first date exactly two years earlier, and our cake designers whipped up a three-tier wedding cake for 2!

The world is a crazy, insane place right now. Today, more than ever, we need to celebrate love in all its gorgeous glory!
